Tannenhof: Ham and
sausage specialties since 1975

In 1975, Hans Schnekenburger founded his first production facility for Black Forest ham in Villingen-Schwenningen with four employees. Just five years later, the enthusiasm and excellent products of the master butcher and business economist and his team led to the first expansion plans.

The unstoppable upward trend makes it necessary to inaugurate larger production halls in both 1982 and 1992 and to continue to create a basis for the continued success of the Tannenhof brand. A solid foundation, as it turns out: in 1994, with 70 employees, Tannenhof is the first manufacturer of Black Forest ham to be certified according to DIN ISO 9001 in all company functions.

The next generation.

Markus and Claudia Schnekenburger joined the Tannenhof management team in 1992 and 1997. Together, they expanded the production facility to a total of 14,000m2 in 1999 and 2002.

In 2015, the production facility was expanded by 12,000m2 to a total of 32,000m2. A sum in the double-digit millions was invested in the expansion, which was planned and implemented according to the latest ecological standards. The new space is now used to make processes within the company more efficient and to expand existing capacities.

But even today - just like 50 years ago - it is the commitment and quality awareness of the employees and the Schnekenburger family that make Tannenhof what it is: a strong brand around a strong product that is as unique as the region it comes from: Black Forest ham.
