Main course
Tarte flambée with Black Forest ham

Ingredients for 4 round tarte flambée
For the dough:
500 g flour
6 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp salt
240 ml water
For the topping:
1-2 cups sour cream or crème fraîche
2-3 onions, red and white
A few slices of Black Forest ham
A handful of rocket
Salt, coarse pepper
Preparation
For the dough, knead all the ingredients into a smooth dough using a food processor, wrap in cling film and leave to rest for approx. 1 hour. In the meantime, finely slice the onions. Preheat the oven to 220° C top and bottom heat. Roll out four round pastry cases on a floured work surface. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and spread each pastry with a few spoonfuls of sour cream or crème fraîche, top with onions, season with salt and pepper and bake for approx. 15 minutes until crispy. Top with Black Forest ham and rocket.
Tip: If desired, the Black Forest ham can be spread on the dough before baking to make it nice and crispy.
